Βιογραφικό/Faculty Bio
Amalia Avramidou holds a BA and MA in Classical Archaeology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a PhD in Classics from the Johns Hopkins University. In the past, she worked in various American and European universities and museums. Her publication record includes a monograph, co-edited volumes, an e-textbook, dozens of articles and book-reviews. Currently, she is the PI of the H.F.R.I research program www.peraiasamothraceproject.gr and of the Parthenos Sanctuary in ancient Neapolis/Kavala. Her research interests cover many topics in Greek art and archaeology, focusing on pottery and iconography, ancient Thrace, and cross-cultural relations in the Mediterranean
